In 2024, Oxygen Forensics introduced significant enhancements to their flagship software, Oxygen Forensic® Detective, aimed at bolstering investigative capabilities.

New Built-in Modules:

  • Malware Scan: Investigators can now scan extracted files for over 13 identifiable malware threats, including Adspy, Backdoor, and Trojware. This feature aids in detecting compromised systems and potential security breaches.
  • Speech Recognition and Transcription: The software now supports transcribing speech from audio and video files, accommodating over 50 languages. This functionality streamlines the analysis of multimedia evidence.

Mobile Data Extraction Enhancements:

  • Expanded Support for Android Devices: Enhanced extraction methods now support a broader range of MTK, Qualcomm, and UNISOC-based Android devices, facilitating access to critical evidence from newer models.
  • Unlocked Device Support: The software enables extraction of user application data and internal memory from devices running Android OS 9-14 and iOS devices with the latest versions, ensuring compatibility with recent operating systems.

Cloud Data Extraction:

  • Celebrating the 10th anniversary of their Cloud Extractor, Oxygen Forensics expanded support to 107 cloud services, including Reddit and Steam, allowing extraction of account information, chats, posts, and more.

KeyDiver Enhancements:

  • The KeyDiver tool now supports finding passcodes for decrypting various encrypted partitions, files, and applications, such as iTunes backups, VeraCrypt containers, and MS Office files, enhancing access to protected data.

Data Analysis Improvements:

  • Facial Categorization: A new wizard allows selection of specific file folders for facial categorization, with customizable filters to expedite processing.
  • Geolocation Icons: Enhanced visibility of geolocation data distinguishes device owner’s coordinates from third-party locations in the Timeline section.
  • Translation Module: Support for over 30 languages, including Arabic, Bengali, and Portuguese, has been added to facilitate multilingual data analysis.
